Trailblazing a new category

I'm not grasping but it seems there a a lot of companies which have yellow and black logos. The combination seems as natural as PI and has become a favourite of roadsign makers, taxi cab companies, and graphic design firms. This is a original rendition of the logo for California Pizza Kitchen at KLCC.
